Padrino “Nino” Lopez Sr., at the age of 59, entered into rest on Saturday, December 22, 2018.  He was born on August 5, 1959 in French Camp, CA. 

   He is preceded in death by his father Edward P. Lopez, his siblings, Edward Lopez Jr., Delores Lopez, Geraldine Lopez and Sophia Petrosian and his precious granddaughter Avery Lee.

   Padrino is survived by his mother Carmen Lopez, his lovely wife Debra Lopez of 45 years, his children, Nina Lopez-Rose, Padrino Lopez Jr. and Edward Frankie Lopez, his siblings Rebecca Lopez (Gilbert), Nachio Edward Lopez (Alma) and Leta Lopez. In addition he leaves behind ten beautiful grandchildren, Alicia, Adrianna, Alexia, Audrey, Aiden, Urijah, Cipriana, Padrino, Alyssa, Anthony and his five great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Eli, Steven, Michael and Noah.

   Padrino attended Franklin High School in Stockton, CA and continued onto Delta Junior College and finished at the University of Pacific with a Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. Over the course of his life, Padrino had a wide variety of careers from being a Corrections Officer for over 30 years, a Realtor, the Administrator of a Children’s Group Home and running a Bingo Hall for more than 20 years. Padrino, better known as Nino, had a passion for old cars and trucks. He loved to work on restoring them back to their original beauty. One of his favorite cars was his 1960 Chevy Truck nicknamed “Mater.” Debra and Nino enjoyed vacationing and taking cruises to Mexico and Hawaii. Nino’s true passion and joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished the special times and treasured every moment spent with them. Being an Uncle was also a job Nino took pride in as he had many nieces and nephews. Nino’s infectious spirit and overall joy will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

   P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Lopez family. A viewing will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 p.m.
