Percy O. Archer, of Manteca, CA, passed away on March 29, 2010 in Manteca at the age of 79.  Percy was born on June 9, 1930 in Priest River, Idaho to Henry and Lillian Marie (Craven) Archer, and was a resident of Manteca for 56 years.  Percy served in the US Army from 1951 to 1983, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and AUSA.

 Percy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Darlene Archer; his children, David Archer, James Archer, Debra Archer and Shawn Archer; his brothers, Don Archer, Art Archer, and Spencer Archer; his sisters Myrtle Spracklen and Fay Lagerquist; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Vere and Garner; and his sisters, Phyllis and Delores.

 Services for Percy were held on Wednesday, April 4, 2010 at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, CA at 1:15 p.m.  Contributions to Percy’s memory can be made to the Cancer Fund of America, or to a charity of your choice.  Arrangements were handled by Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road in Manteca.
