The World lost a very special man on the morning of Wednesday, September 2nd.  Pete touched the lives of many with his kind heart, gentle smile, and giving nature.  Born December 25, 1943 to John and Tena DeJong in Artesia, CA.
   Pete had two children, Amy Chapman and son-in-law Robert Chapman of Manteca, and Marc DeJong of Groveland. Pete leaves behind sister, Clara and brother-in-law Dutch Van Dykhuizen of Oregon and two grandchildren Casey Henke of Sacramento and Jacob Nobriga of Manteca.  Pete also leaves behind his companion of many years Penni Deem of Stockton and kids, Kim and Rich Coleman of Concord, Jeff and Amy Deem, Melani Deem, and Susie Deem of Stockton.  Pete enjoyed football, fishing, yard work, visiting with his friends, and hotrods.  Rest in peace Dad, we will miss you every single day.
   A memorial service for Pete will be held on Friday, October 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.
