Raymond Daniel (Dan) Shanahan passed away peacefully with family by his side, on July 20th, 2014, at age 75. Dan was one of six children born in Salina, Kansas, on October 6, 1938.      Dan is survived by his beloved wife Amy Shanahan and five children, Kimala Ballard (Gary), William Shull (Chris), Kari Archer (Mark), Lisa Stevenson (Jackie), and John Stevenson (Karen). Dan also leaves behind his sister Mary Wessling and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
   Dan was a self made man. He shared his wisdom and insight lovingly with his friends and family. He always saw potential in everyone and everything. He had a kind generous heart. Dan wanted to help everyone who needed it. We are truly grateful for the time we had with him. He blessed our family and made it complete. Dan will be deeply missed. We were proud to call him Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, and my beloved husband.
   At his request Dan would want any contributions to be given to his favorite charity: Sister Ann’s “Ministry of Caring” at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, in Manteca, CA. Dan will be laid to rest in a private family interment at St. Johns Catholic Cemetery in Escalon, CA.
