Richard Joaquin Perez passed away August 1st, at the age of 58, in San Diego, California.  Rich was born November 24, 1963 in Calexico.  Growing up he attend school in Manteca.

   He is predeceased by his grandparents John and Elisa Perez and Felipe and Petra Duenas, his father Richard Perez, brother Rudy and son, little Richie Junior.  Rich is survived by his mother Rosie Perez, his children, Jacob, Nikka and Rudy, his brother's Robert and Carlos, his sister Andrea and sisters-in-laws Sara and Nicole, nephews Max and Enzo and niece Maiya Perez.  He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who loved him.

   Rich loved sports, especially football, as a boy, he played flag football.  As a youth he played for the Manteca Cowboys, at Manteca High, Rich was a varsity defensive guard.  At Delta College, he played with the Delta Mustangs.  He also coached youth football for the junior Varsity Manteca Cowboy's team.  Rich was an excellent football player because of his strength and the love of the game, he was also a proud member of the Marine Corps.

   A private memorial service was held for Rich on August 27th at P.L. Fry's.  The Perez family would like to thank all those who called, sent cards, food and prayed for Richard.  May he rest in peace in the arms of Jesus.
