Richard was born in Stockton CA, on December. 2, 1956.   He grew up in Lathrop California. He attended Lathrop school, East Union High and graduated from Calla High in 1975. He joined the United States Army in June of 1976 and was a Vietnam Era Veteran. He left this earth suddenly on November 29, 2011.  He is preceded in death with his father, Richard L Bowling Sr. and mother, Shirley J. Bowling.

He leaves behind, his ex-wife Bobbie Bowling, two children, his son Richard L. Bowling III and daughter, Stacey L. Bowling. Also his three grandchildren which he loved very much and was hoping to get to know better, Daisy Bowling, Cynthia Hernandez, and Kalina Bowling of Manteca. Two sisters, Vickie Cantu and Shelly Bowling and a brother, Robert Bowling, also several nieces and nephews all of Lathrop CA.

Although Richard had a rough life these past years and had tried several times to get his life back on track. He was loved very much by his family and friends. We will carry him in our hearts. He will be missed by all. Grave side services will be held at Parkview Cemetery on December 29, 2011 at 1:00 pm.

A short reception will follow at his sister house, where he grew up.
