Richard (Rich) Hanson was born August 10, 1937 to Carl and Gertie Hanson in Edgerton, Minnesota.
   He is preceded in death by sisters Evelyn Hockman and Dorothy Weidow.
   He is survived by sister Delores Vehuis of Riverbank, CA and children Margo Fey of North Fork, CA Kim Hanon of Ceres, CA and Michael Hanson of Manteca, CA.
   He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Rich moved to California in 1957 looking for work and joined the Marine Corps shortly after. He served with dignity and honor until 1962 and he was in the service when he received his high school diploma in 1957.  Rich bought a 48 auto car truck in 1962 and drove his truck for living for most of his life. In 1996 Rich sold his truck and drove a tour bus for six years where he met his wife of 15 years Joyce Gray Hanson.
  Rich enjoyed woodworking, welding. mechanics and had a lifetime passion for tractors. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.
