Rodney E. Cloud, 54, passed away on Wednesday, January 13th, 2016 in Sacramento, CA.  He was born in Stockton on October 4, 1961. 
   He is survived by his soul mate Debra Torres of Escalon; his sons Jeremiah Cloud of Corvallis, OR and Zechariah Cloud of Stockton; his dog Rascal;  his step-sons Manuel Torres, Jr (Phoenix, AZ) and Anthony Torres (Oakley); his sister Stephanie Hiestand (James) of Manteca; his niece Deidre Reyna of Manteca and two nephews George Robson of Eureka and Dylan Fisher of Manteca.  He also leaves behind two aunts and four uncles as well as many cousins. 
   He was pre-deceased by his parents Jim and Margaret Cloud; and his grandparents Daniel and Edith Cloud, Laverne Martin and Melvin Hallford.
   Rod attended Golden West Elementary and East Union High School where he played basketball (#21).  He went on to get his associates degree in drafting from San  Joaquin Delta College.  He was a handyman for most of his life having lived in areas around the foothills.  He loved country western dancing, camping, gold-panning, shopping thrift stores and spending time with his dog, Rascal.  He also wrote poetry to share his feelings of loss due to the death of his parents.  He will be remembered as husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
   A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Avenue, Tracy, CA on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 3 p.m. We encourage you to share a memory you have of Rod at this remembrance ceremony.
