Roy V. Walker Jr., 77, of Manteca, California, passed away with family by his side, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at his son’s home in Ripon, CA.
   A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 11, at
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 910 E. North Street, Manteca, California 95336.  Pastor Mark Wharff will be officiating.
   Roy served as a Private in the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, NC, from 1955 to 1959. After graduating from Jump School, Roy went on to make multiple successful jumps.
   Roy is survived by his six children, Karen Wilkson and her husband James of Tigard, OR, Laurie Vinson and her husband Bret of Modesto, CA, Stacy Brown and her husband Bruce of Brentwood, CA, Michael and John Walker of Casa Grande, AZ and Steven Walker of Ripon, CA; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, his sisters; Marilyn Heffington of Eugene, OR and Frances Alton of Payette, ID, several nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lorraine, and his wife Louane Kathleen Walker (Lee) in 2011.
