Ruth E. Buck, 84, passed away on Sunday at her home in Manteca the day before her 85th birthday.
She was a native of Chicago, Illinois, having moved to Manteca in 1947 where she met her late husband Arthur F. Buck at the County Fair. They were married for 25 years before his passing in 1973.
She is survived by her children Monty and Shonna Buck, Jim and Virginia Buck Gift, Terry and Janice Buck Hunt, and Joe and LeeAnna Buck Cook. She is also survived by grandchildren Jacqulyn James, Jennifer Bell, Jason Cook, Steven Hunt, Maci Ennes, Joshua Buck, Dina Shipley, and Dawn Shaw, and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as her sister and brother-in-law Lorraine and Richard Hagen and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the Chapel at Park View Cemetery, 3661 East French Camp Road, Manteca, CA 95336, on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. There will be a private burial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305, www.apdaparkinson.org.
