Sander T. Severson “Steve”, 86, passed away November18, 2013, at Manteca Doctors Hospital. He was born in Twin Valley, Minnesota on April 6, 1927.  Mr. Severson is preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Severson, his second wife Ouida Torries, one brother, and two sisters.
   Survivors include four stepchildren, Jim Torres, of Livermore, CA; Carolyn Webster, of Rio Vista, CA; Cathy Torres, of Sebastopol, CA; and Linda Torres of Santa Rosa, CA. Steve is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three sisters, and his caregiver Kayla Ruckman.
   Mr. Severson was a Trainer during the Korean War for the U.S. Army. He worked for Heinz in Tracy as a maintenance supervisor for over 30 years. He was always working on different wood projects. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and going to casinos. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him
   Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Rd. A viewing will be held Friday November 22, 2013, from 10 a.m. to  12p.m. , at P.L. Fry & Son, followed by a Chapel Service at 12p.m.. Mr. Severson will be laid to rest at East Union Cemetery during a private Committal Service.
