Sara Van Dyk, 89, went to Heaven to be with the love of her life, Bert Van Dyk, on December 3, 2017 in Salida, CA. She was born on March 10, 1928 in Hasty, Minnesota. Sara leaves behind her loving children Janet (John) Crawford of Paradise, CA, Roberta (Jerry) Martin of Escalon, CA, Rie (Dave) Romano of Modesto, CA, John (Evy) Van Dyk of Escalon, CA, and her 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Bert Van Dyk, her parents Jan and Marie Hamel, and her brothers George, Mike and John Hamel and her sister Ann Webb.
