Shirley Mae Edwards died peacefully Sunday evening, December 17, 2017 not long after her 85th birthday.  She was born December 5, 1932 in Osceola, Indiana. 
   She is survived by her children Devon Bolt of Dundee, OR, Kim Haight of Penn Valley, CA, Forrest Edwards of Wilsonville, OR, and Laurie Jacobsen of Manteca, CA.  Shirley was very loved by her 14 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews.
   She is also survived by her sisters Edith Billups and Joyce Rich; and her brothers Mark Gehman, Stephen Gehman, and Harvey Gehman. 
   Shirley was married to Clarence Edwards for 55 years before his passing last year. She is preceded in death by brothers Phillip Gehman and Allan Gehman, and her parents Frank and Irene Gehman. 
   She was a long time member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church, a member of the choir, a volunteer at the Nearly New Thrift Shop, and a graduate of San Francisco Bible College.
   P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Edwards family. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca.
   A celebration of life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 910 East North Street, Manteca. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband Clarence on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at
