Steven Gary Johnson, 49, entered into rest on December 13, 2015 at his home in French Camp, CA surrounded by his loving family. Born May 10, 1966 in Manteca, CA Steven is preceded in his journey to heaven by his father Larry. He is survived by his loving mother Diane, brother Brian, and sister in law Claire. He was blessed with two nieces, Kayla and Katie, as well as a nephew Caleb.
Growing up in the Manteca area Steven was a truck driver for Home Depot, Save Mart and various companies for over 25 years. He loved to travel and would take trips to Santa Cruz or Monterey any chance he could. He also enjoyed taking his Yamaha dirt bike out to Carnegie Motor Cross Track. During his down time he enjoyed spending time in his garden or on his Xbox playing games like Call of Duty. His gaming created many friendships with people all over the country through Xbox live; he would even video chat with some of them from time to time. Among all of Stevens attributes, family was most important to him. He loved spending time with everyone but especially his nieces and nephews. Standing 6 feet,
8 inches tall, he was a gentle giant. Steven will be remembered as an amazing son, cherished brother and special uncle. He will be truly missed.
P.L Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Johnson family. A visitation will be held at P.L Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Rd, Manteca, on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 3 p.m followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m.
