Stuart J. Peters, age 63, entered into rest on November 13, 2016 in Santa Rosa. He was born on May 18, 1953 in Vallejo, to the late Roy and Marie Peters. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Susan Marriott and sister-in-law, Codie Peters.
Stuart is survived by his sons, Erik Peters (Rose) of San Jose, Michael Peters (Tausha) of Manteca and Matthew Peters (Cristina) of Petaluma. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Austin, Haylie, Lilly, Ava and Tessa and another granddaughter on the way. Stuart is also survived by his siblings, Steven Peters of Virginia, Scott Peters (Karen) of Livermore, Sherri Burke (Dan) of San Ramon and Shawn Peters (Mary) of Sacramento. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Stuart was a resident of Petaluma for the last 5 years and previously of Manteca for 23 years. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Fremont. Stuart was self employed and owned and operated R & R Patios in Manteca, working in the bay area. He was an active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where he volunteered at the St. Paul’s Food Pantry. Stuart loved music, particularly rock n roll and oldies. He was artistic and loved to draw and paint. He was a collector of memorabilia. Stuart was a sports fan and loved to watch the SF Giants and Oakland Raiders, as well as his sons sporting events when they were younger. He was a kind and generous man with a great sense of humor. His sons and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Stuart will be remembered as an amazing father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at
3:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 910 E. North Street, Manteca.
