Terry Gail Darter,54, of Manteca, entered into the arms of the Lord on Sept. 4, 2010. She was born on Dec. 27, 1955 in Tracy to Herman Ray Green and Bettie Raye Green. She lived in Manteca most of her life.

Terry is preceded in death by her mother, Bettie Green, her in-laws, Eldon and Noma Davis, and Louis Mello, who was like a son to her.

Terry was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and companion and will be missed greatly by her father, Herman Ray Green, brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Wynona Green, sister Connie Locke, companion Butch Davis, son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Danielle Davis, son and daughter-in-law, Donny and Dawn Darter, son and daughter-in-law Billy and Sarah Darter, nephew Jason Wright and her daughter Holly Wright, her grandkids that were her pride and joy, Crystal, Brittany and Bailey Davis, Crystal, Anthony and Tori Kulp and Preston and Blake Darter and great-grandkids, Dominic, Haley, Kayliana and Anabell. She will also be missed by many friends and extended family.

Terry enjoyed cooking, doing arts and crafts with her grandkids, hanging out with her son Shawn, watching her son Donny race and her son Billy play baseball. She was a very special woman with a huge heart. She made sure that everyone she cared for always knew how special they were to her by leaving them notes or cards or a message on your phone telling you that you were special and she was thinking of you. She was always willing to help those in need even though sometimes she struggled herself, she would always be there if you needed her. Terry was a wonderful person who had so much to give and all of her memories will forever live on in those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Services will be held at Park View Cemetery in Manteca on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. For more information you can contact Park View Cemetery & Funeral Home at 982-1611.
