Thomas Rey
May 31, 1929-February 20, 2015
Thomas Rey Obit Pic BW

Thomas Rey, 85, entered into rest on February 20, 2015 at his home in Stockton. He was born May 31, 1929 in Fresno, CA.  He is preceded in death by his daughter Lori Rey Beach. Thomas is survived by his wife Margaret Ann, daughter Tommiette Rey, and son Ronald (Linda Sue) Rey. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Juraidi Rey, and Zachary Rey, as well as a great grandson Tyler Thomas Rey, step-granddaughter Jessica Miller, and step-great grandson, Jakob Miller.
Thomas grew up in Fresno, and was later drafted into the United States Army. Thomas always said that he thought every young man, at 18, should join the military for at least two years to become a man and learn discipline. One night while hanging out at “the Scoop” in Manteca he met a beautiful young lady named, Margaret Ann, who needed a ride home, like a gentleman, he got her home safe, from that point forward they spent the next 65 years together. Before retirement, Thomas was a truck driver for the Local Teamsters 439 for over 45 years. He was a very hard working man where he had an incredible dedicated reputation rarely calling in sick, he was only late for work once in his life and in fact, he had a seven year stretch of not taking one single day off.  He earned many accolades throughout his career for driving over one-million miles without a single accident or incident.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and archery.  He was a member of the Southside Christian Church, where he always helped out in any way possible.
The Rey family would like to extend heart felt (thanks) to the following doctors who took such great care of Thomas during his time of need, Dr. Timothy Yeh, Dr. Everett Low, Dr. James Avery, Dr. David Lim, Dr. I. Malik, Dr. Rick Rawson, Dr. James Morrissey, and Dr. Vincent Leung.  A special thanks to Infinity Care services, we needed help and God sent two angels named, Tori Mattson and Lydia Duncan.
