Thomas William Sinclair passed away at age 67 in Manteca, California on August 30, 2022. He was born in San Francisco on August 5, 1955.

   Tom was a veteran who served in the Navy and Coast Guard. After his service, he married Karen New in 1986, and the pair moved to Ripon in 1989, where they raised their four children. Tom was a friend of Bill W. and he remained sober for 38 years. He loved to scuba dive, rock climb, hike and spend as much time as he could outdoors. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle on the open road. Tom will be remembered as a fighter with a lot of grit. He bravely fought through his illness for his family, and he was a great friend to anybody who needed help. He will be dearly missed.

   Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Karen New Sinclair of Ripon, his children, Lyndsey New of Modesto, Nicole Valladao of Stockton, Ashley

De La Torre of Stockton, and Christopher Sinclair of San Francisco, grandchildren,

Damian Schmidt of Oregon, Cassidy Schmidt of Oregon, Alexander Valladao of Ripon, Joni Schmidt of Iowa, and Aiden New of Modesto and one great-grandchild, Roland, his father, Kenneth F Sinclair, and siblings, George Sinclair of Washington, Kathy Peck of San Diego and Jim Sinclair of San Diego.

   Deegan-Ripon Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Sinclair family. A

funeral mass will take place at St. Patrick’s Church in Escalon on September 16, 2022 at 10:30 a.m..

Lymphoma Society.
