Tony M. Azevedo of Ripon, age 93, passed  away Dec. 21.
He is survived by his loving wife, Madeline; his children, Richard and wife Gail, of Manteca, Larry and fiancée Kathy of Escalon, and Susan Price and husband, Barry of Modesto; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his sisters, Rosie Fagundes of Manteca, Lucy Azevedo of Ripon, Mary Costa of Ripon, and brother, Joe from Ripon. His brother, Henry Azevedo of Ripon, preceded him in death.  
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and as a blacksmith in 1945. Tony worked at Kraft Cheese in Manteca, Doctors. Hospital in Modesto, Heinz Cannery in Tracy and he also farmed almonds in Ripon. A visitation will be held at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, Dec. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Rosary/Mass will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ripon at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, with burial to follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Building Fund Arrangements under the direction of Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.
