Walter J. Kaczmarek passed away on January 11, 2016 at  the age of 91, in Tracy, CA. Walter was born in Connecticut in 1924, where he resided until he enlisted in the US Navy in 1942 during WW II. He served in the Navy for over 20 years, retiring in 1964 as a Chief Petty Officer stationed at Moffett Field Naval Air Station in Santa Clara County. His Navy career and friends always held a special place in his heart. While in the Navy and stationed in San Diego, Walter met and married the love of his life, Addie (Toni) Kaczmarek, in 1951. They were married for 62 years until Addie’s passing in 2013.
    Walter and Addie moved to Santa Clara, CA in 1957, where they resided for over 30 years while raising three children. After his military career, Walter worked for 20 years at the County of Santa Clara as a communications dispatcher, retiring in 1988. In 1989, he and Addie moved to Manteca, CA, living there until their passing.
   Walter is survived by his daughter, Ruby Estes, his two sons, James and Walter, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and his sister Irene Bakulsky.  All of us will miss him greatly. His independent and optimistic approach to life will always be remembered and envied.
    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on February 13, 2016 in the memorial chapel of Park View Cemetery and Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca, CA., 95336.
