Wayne “Ace” Hulbert, 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, at the Livermore Veterans Hospital. He was born January 31, 1935 in Joliet, Illinois, to Joseph and Dorothy Hulbert.

Wayne leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 54 years, Ada F. Hulbert; son, John W. Hulbert and wife Kathy; daughters, Francine B. Hulbert and Adean M. Hulbert; sister, Mary Lou Hulbert; brother, Joseph Hulbert; grandchildren, Evan W. Hulbert and Anthony W. Hulbert; great-grandchildren, Charis Hulbert, Kaily Hulbert, Casey Hulbert, Damien Hulbert; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

After his retirement from Fran Rica Mfg. of Stockton, Wayne lived in Manteca for the past 13 years. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Air Force and an active member of the American Legion Post 249. Wayne loved to fish, travel in his motorhome and watch NASCAR racing.

Family and friends are invited to attend a military burial service at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 26, at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 West McCabe Road, Gustine.
