W. H. Freer, 77, entered into rest on April 21, 2010 in Manteca, California. He was born on November 26, 1932 in Gladewater Texas to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Wilma Freer. Mr. Freer joins his wife in heaven Mary Ann Freer along with his son John W. Freer, granddaughter Tricia Sparks and one brother Charles Freer.

W.H. is survived by his three children; Gail Freer of Manteca, Debra Freer – Sparks of Manteca and Joseph Freer of Manteca. He was blessed with two granddaughters Jessica Sparks Johnson of Manteca and Chasity Sparks of Manteca. He has one very special great-granddaughter Patricia Suarez. In addition W.H. is survived by two brothers Veda Freer of Wallace and William Freer of Manteca.

W.H. retired from John’s Manville pipe company in 1979. After retirement he worked for various security companies for the past 25 years. He was a past member of Lathrop Pentecostal Tabernacle Church. He graduated from Joint Union High in Ripon in 1953; now know as Ripon High School. While attending high school W.H. was very proud of being involved with FFA. He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing and camping. He loved old western movies especially when John Wayne was staring as the main character. W.H.  was a kind gentle man who loved his family unconditionally. His granddaughters and were the apple of his eye and his great-granddaughter Patricia warmed his heart with her sweet smile. He was extremely proud of his family always supporting them in whatever they did. W.H. will be remembered as an easy-going man who was soft spoken and loved by everyone.

Mr. Freer’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. Visitation will be held on April 26, 2010 (Monday) from 1 to 5 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road Manteca, CA. A celebration of life service will be held on April 27, 2010 (Tuesday) at noon held at P.L .Fry & Son Funeral Home. Mr. Freer will be laid privately at Parkview Cemetery.
