William “Bill” Mulder, loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved Jesus above all and showed that love in the way he lived his life and loved his family and friends, went home to his Lord and Savior Sunday, December 27, 2020. Bill spent his life serving others in his own, quiet way. He was a Navy veteran, serving in World War II. He made people a priority, calling or visiting someone to wish them “Happy Birthday,” or to say “Hi,” especially after they had lost a parent or a spouse. A carpenter by trade, he taught woodworking to youngsters, making special items for charity auctions. He also loved supporting anything involving Ripon Christian. He loved RC Athletics and could be seen courtside at basketball games and volleyball matches, often cheering for his grandkids or great-grandkids. Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Harriet. He is survived by his children, William “Bill” and Kim Mulder, Beverly and Rich Maliepaard, Ed and Cheryl Mulder, and Sandra Mulder, along with 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren. Deegan Funeral Chapels is honored to serve the Mulder family. A visitation will be held for Bill on Sunday, January 3, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.
