A touchdown in the final minutes of the first half and three in three offensive plays to start the second half kept the freshmen Manteca Buffaloes rolling in a 60-7 win over Sierra on Thursday in Valley Oak League action at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium.
With 1:13 left in the first half Ferrin Manuleleua scored on a 6-yard run for Manteca to increase its lead to 30-7. Matsua Garcia-Mendez recovered a Timberwolves fumble on the second-half kickoff for the Buffaloes and on the next play Kyle Rachels (5 of 6 passing, 183 yards) spotted Presley Keltner for a 25-yard touchdown pass.
After forcing Sierra to go three and out Kobe Shippley (10 carries, 128 yards) ran 40 yards for a score on the next play and on Manteca’s third play from scrimmage in the second half Rachels connected with Matthew Ender for a 45-yard touchdown pass and a 54-7 Manteca lead.
Seth Owings (six carries, 44 yards) scored on runs of 7 and 25 yards in the first quarter for Manteca. In the second period Rachels hit Keltner with a 38-yard scoring pass and Cameron Allison rounded out the Buffaloes scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run.
Zach Chamberlain had a 61-yard reception for Manteca.
Daemon Duran pulled in a 60-yard touchdown pass from Caden Worth in the second quarter for the Timberwolves,
Justin Kakala had six tackles – all behind the line of scrimmage – for the Buffaloes. Allison and Ben Rea each added four stops.

Nathan Morrow scored three touchdowns for the Indians.
Morrow’s scoring runs of 3, 25 and 41 yards were part of a 252-yard ground game for Ripon and 310 yards of total offense.
