With just 1.5 seconds remaining in the game Enochs intercepted a tipped ball at the goal line that thwarted any last-second heroics for the Timberwolves in a 13-8 non-league win for the visiting Eagles at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium.

After a scoreless first half on Friday, Reid Maestas got Sierra (0-1) on the board when he forced a safety to make the score 13-2. Keano Calderon bulled the ball in from the 2-yard line to draw the Timberwolves within 13-8. Chuck Good recovered a fumble by Enochs (1-0) with 1:54 left in the game to set up the final drive for Sierra.

Jake Pruitt gained 83 yards on 23 carries for the Timberwolves. Teammate Anthony Cervantez caused and recovered a fumble.

Ceres 36, Ripon 12
At Ceres, Troy Burth’s 18-yard touchdown run late in the first half brought Ripon within 16-12, but the Bulldogs put up 20 second-half points for the non-league win on Thursday.

Burth led the Chiefs with 11 carries on 56 yards. Josh Clark returned a kickoff 85 yards for the other Ripon score.

Clark snagged and interception and along with Steven Cook and Adam Covello made four tackles for the Chiefs.
