It’s officially Le Grand week for Ripon Christian.

The Knights can finally direct their focus on their biggest regular-season game after trouncing Gustine 62-7 on the road Friday. Undefeated Le Grand visits Stouffer Field next week with the Southern League title on the line.

Running back Andrew Brown added to his school record totals with 329 yards and three touchdowns. He now has 2,034 rushing yards for the season and has a state-leading 41 total touchdowns.

It didn’t take him long to get going, as he ran in his first TD of the night from 47 yards out just 31 seconds into the game. He later scored on 75- and 15-yard runs in the second quarter.

Ripon Christian (6-0 SL, 8-1 overall) led 49-0 before Gustine standout Isaiah Figueroa hammered his way in on a 2-yard scamper with 38 seconds left in the first half. The running clock was enforced for the entire second half.

Foreign-exchange student Bashar Shammas contributed 118 yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries. He was also perfect on his eight PAT attempts, though he was denied a ninth try after he scored with 15 seconds left.

Billy Marr was 6-of-8 passing for 96 yards and hooked up with Ethan McMurray for a 17-yard TD toss early in the second quarter. Casey Kamper hit pay dirt three times, on 9- and -8-yard runs in the opening period and a 51-yard fumble return in the second.
