RCs tough season ends with loss to Delhi

RIPON — A tough season for Ripon Christian came to an end Friday with a 23-3 Southern League loss to Delhi.
The Knights (1-6 SL, 2-8 overall) took a 3-0 second-quarter advantage on Andrew Vander Weide’s 25-yard field goal.
Delhi (5-2, 8-2) responded quickly. Quarterback Aiden Rocha connected with wing back Fabian Garcia on a 44-yard scoring play, giving the Hawks a 6-3 just before the break.
Garcia scored again in the third with a 1-yard run.
Delhi made it 16-3 early on in the fourth as Alecxis Miranda booted a 40-yard field goal.
Alvin Prasad added the final touches for the playoff-bound Hawks with a 28-yard touchdown run.
