Jericho Santillan and A.J. Duenez combined for a pair of Lathrop touchdowns in a 13-6 win over Ceres on Friday in Western Athletic conference junior varsity action at Bennie Gatto Field.

Both touchdown throws from Santillan (4 of 13 passing, 78 yards) to Duenez were for 35 yards — the first to open the scoring in the first quarter and the second to close out the scoring in the third period. Sean Blea added 50 yards on six carries.

David DeAnda paced the Spartans defense with five tackles and a fumble recovery with Dominic Corral notching four stops.

Manteca 28, Ripon 6

Tommy Perea ran for three touchdowns Friday and the Buffaloes held the Indians scoreless until the final play of the Valley Oak League contest at Guss Schmiedt Field.

Perea (15 carries, 89 yards) had 1-, 3- and 5-yard touchdown runs. Kayden MacDannald (12 carries, 121 yards) scored from 35 yards out and Colten Stonum was 3 of 5 passing for 18 yards. 

Garrison Reis led the Manteca defense with seven tackles and a forced fumble. Ayden Marshall (forced fumble) added six stops and Kapono DeVillenueva had five tackles. Gage Pfeifer recovered a fumble.
