Eric Broker fired 13 points, made all five of his free throws and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Ripon Christian’s 51-29 win at Denair on Tuesday.

Broker set the tone for the Knights (3-1 Southern League, 11-4 overall) early, scoring seven of their 19 points in the opening quarter. They never let up defensively, giving up no more than seven points in the first three quarters and just 10 in the fourth.

“We played well defensively today,” Ripon Christian coach Ron Vander Molen said. “After the first quarter our shots weren’t falling, but we played consistent defense. I’m happy with our progress in that aspect.”

Sean Broker made all five of his attempts from the field and finished with 10 points. Andrew Manes added seven, as nine of 10 Knights contributed to the scoring.

Denair fell to 1-3 in league, 6-10 overall.
