EUs Riley cards 31 at Old River

Brooke Riley capped off an impressive week Wednesday, shooting 5-under-par 31 on the links-style front nine at Tracy’s Old River Golf Course, as East Union continued its Valley Oak League title defense with a 205-225 win against host Kimball.

On Tuesday, Riley finished 4-under 32 at Oakdale Golf and Country Club, just one day after going even par on the more familiar Manteca Park Golf Course.

The Lancers (7-0) beat their season low for a second straight outing Wednesday. Rebeca Leonard placed third overall with a 41. Chloe Cardenas and Natalie Cowan each turned in a 43, and Allie Tajii carded a 47.

Low medalist Katie Hankins finished 8-over 45 to lead Manteca’s victory.

Fellow Buffalo Isabella Garcia-Mendez checked in with the second best score of 48. The rest of the Buffaloes scorers ranked up individual points, with Dominique Graham (56), Logan Jackson (63) and Danika Hunt (68) following in order.
