RIPON – Josh Richter led the way for the Indians Wednesday in a 218-238 loss to Escalon, shooting a 41 at Oakdale Country Club.

Daniel Cardoza (42) was right on his heels.

Jordan Williamson turned in a 51, Mark Bigelow a 55 and Jake Ratto a 49.

Bigelow shot a 12 on the Par-3 Hole 9.

Ripon missed Matty Gay, who didn’t make the match.

“I’m pretty proud of the kids after taking a beating on Monday,” Ripon head coach Chris Musseman said. “Jordan shot a 123, and today he fires back with a 51.

“It will be interesting at Spring Creek at the end of the year.”

Ripon faces Hughson tomorrow at River Oaks Country Club.

VALLEY OAK LEAGUE
Sierra 206, Oakdale 226
At Manteca Park Golf course, the Timberwolves moved to 10-0 in VOL play and 13-0 overall behind a even-par 37 from Miguel Dominguez and a 39 from Joey Matts.

Paul Michaleto finished with a 43, Sammy Matts a 42, Michael Hajenga a 45, and Luis Zepeda a 47.

Dominguez incurred a two-stroke penalty and lipped out a 10-foot putt.

“He could have shot a 34,” Sierra head coach Jeff Williams said. “He was hot out there. Joey shot really well as well, he also had a couple of good putts that didn’t fall.”

Williams also singled out Hajenga who was six over after three and finished the rest of the round shooting just two over.

“We played well, but we’re still not there yet,” Williams siad. “We haven’t fired on all cylinders.”

Sierra will take next week off before hosting Weston Ranch and East Union starting April 14.
