After a close opening set Thursday night, Ripon went on to sweep visiting Modesto 25-23, 25-12, 25-12 in non-league volleyball action.

 Samantha McCreath Had a double-double for the Indians (8-3) with 15 digs and 12 kills. Breana Barrios had eight kills and seven blocks, Ashlyn Eisenga 13 digs, Makayla Buie five blocks with Lauren Weibe getting 16 assists and Stephanie Petlansky 11.

The host Spartans made it close the first match but were eventually swept 26-24, 25-20, 25-19.

The Indians won quite handily 25-11, 25-16.
