RIPON — Ripon’s girls volleyball team handled Livingston 25-17, 25-14, 25-16  in a Trans-Valley League sweep Monday.

The Indians (2-1 TVL, 6-3 overall) have a bye on Wednesday but next face rival Ripon Christian in a non-league showdown Friday. The match is set for 5 p.m. at Ripon’s North Gym.

They dominated in the Monday tune-up, with Alyssa Barrios spiking eight kills. Caryssa McKeon dealt four service aces, Shannon Johnson distributed 21 assists and Brooke Kaiser came up with 15 digs.

Ripon also swept the JV match and won the freshman contest, 25-12, 25-12. Eden Velasco and Nina White led the freshmen with six and five aces, respectively.


TENNIS

Central Catholic 5, Sierra 4

MODESTO — Central Catholic keeps pace with Manteca for the Valley Oak League lead but had to stave off a game effort form the Timberwolves.

Melanie Nguyen won at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Sierra also got wins from No. 2 doubles Kendall Sellars/Jasmine Sebastian (6-2, 6-4) and No. 3 doublesBrianna Villalobos/Caitlyn Morrow (6-2, 6-0).

Kaitlyn Rausa was defeated by Collen Ballatore in the rematch of last year’s VOL Singles Tournament final. 


GOLF

Ripon 157, Waterford 200

RIPON — Kassidy Isham finished 7 over with a 38, holding off teammates Gabbi Ilardi and Bianca Toledo by a stroke under windy conditions at Jack Tone Golf Course.

Adrianna DiGiulio added a 41. Shiloh Tillery’s 46 paced Waterford.
