Ripon’s girls golf team handily defeated Escalon 139-167 despite less-than-ideal conditions at Escalon Golf Course on Thursday.

Gabbi Ilardi led all players with a 2-under 30 in the Valley Foothill League North Division dual match.

“The conditions were tough today,” Ripon coach Eric Dambrosio said. “The greens were slower than the girls are used to. The girls adjusted well to the course and kept their focus.”

Katie Martin carded the runner-up score of 32. Zoe Bremer tied with Escalon’s Lucy Allbaugh for third with a 37. Vivian Parsons rounded out scoring for the Indians with a 40. Bella Ambro recorded a 38 for Escalon.
