took care of Manteca 212-279 in a non-league golf match Thursday at Manteca Park Golf Course.

Matthew Ubick and Carter Van Groningen each netted a 43, while Ben Miller had a 45.

Ethan Freitas paced Manteca with a 44. Cooper Chamberlain (53), Gavin Goodwin (54), Gael Juarez (60), and Gregory Collins (68) rounded out scoring for the Buffaloes.


Tracy 218, Ripon 231

The Indians came up short at Tracy Golf & Country Club despite a 3-over 39 score from Jeremie Little.

Vince Uecker chipped in a 45, Sam Stewart had a 48, Richie Hughes a 49 and Will Peters a 50.


BOYS TENNIS

Manteca 6, Central Catholic 3

The Buffaloes improved to 2-0 in the Valley Oak League with the win at Manteca Regional Tennis Center.

Yok Chai Ma defeated Julian Marquez at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-3. No. 3 Ivan Barajas (6-4, 6-0), No. 4 Vince Almeida (6-2, 6-4) and No. 5 Michael Levechenko (6-3, 6-4) also swept.

Landon Butler and Declan Edwards won the No. 1 doubles match, 6-1, 6-3. The Buffs’ No. 2 tandem of Harian Arriaga-Sepulveda and Seven Sarmiento prevailed, 6-2, 6-3.


BASEBALL

East Union 1, Patterson 0

Randy Martinez plated the lone run in the fifth inning, as the host Lancers (5-1) overcame a strong pitching effort from sophomore Max Medina (five innings, one hit, six strikeouts).

East Union was held to just two hits, both doubles from Blake Mount and Kirk Simoni. Mount also pitched the first three innings, striking out seven. Peyton Heath got the win with his three relief innings, and fellow freshman Joe Alvarez struck out the side in order in the seventh for the save.


Millennium 4, Lathrop 3

Adrian Zuniga pitched four solid innings for the host Spartans (2-4) on Tuesday, giving up two unearned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four. He was also 2 for 4 at the plate.


BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Lathrop 3, Pacheco 0

The Spartans traveled to Los Banos and improved to 2-0 in the Western Athletic Conference after sweeping, 25-14, 25-23, 25-11.

Gabriel Fa’ali’i led them with 13 kills, three aces and five digs. Marco Palomares added five kills, four aces, two blocks and seven digs. Justin Alvarez and Pravjiit Singh had five and four kills, respectively.

Alex Vere collected 21 assists and four dig. Charles Reyes racked up 26 digs and four aces.


SOFTBALL

Lathrop 16, Franklin 0 (5)

Maci De Costa dominated again from the pitcher’s circle, striking out 12 in the non-league victory for Lathrop (3-0) on Wednesday. She allowed two hits and no walks.

Offensively, De Costa was 3 for 3 with two doubles, three runs and three RBIs. Luz De Luna also went 3 for 3, hitting a double while scoring three runs and driving in three more.

Ja’Leiyah Ray finished 3 for 4 with a double, triple, two runs and two RBIs. Elizabeth Rodriguez went 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBIs.


GIRLS SWIMMING

Sierra 141, West 30

The Timberwolves dominated the non-league meet Wednesday in Tracy, getting first-place points in every event.

Bianca Fraser (200 IM, 100 fly) and Jennifer Graves (500 free, 100 breast) both won two individual events. Keira Brink (100 free), Lauren Ellis (200 free), Olivia Navarro (50 free) and Gianna Ramos (100 back) each had won win.

Sierra also won the three relays: 200 medley relay (Ramos, Fadeff, Graves, Brink), 200 free (Brink, Graves, Fadeff, Navarro) and 400 free (Abigail Fraser, Ellis, Navarro, Ramos).


BOYS SWIMMING

West 89.5, Sierra 33.5

Travis Moore won the 100 freestyle and was the runner-up in the 100 backstroke for undermanned Sierra.


JV boys volleyball

Lathrop 2, Pacheco 1

Lathrop came back to win, 22-25, 25-13, 15-7 behind Gurmukh Singh’s five kills, four aces and three digs.

Cayden Phaing netted four kills, five aces and three digs. Josh Ramirez led the defense with 18 digs, while Mario Luna picked up six digs to go with 15 assists.


JV softball

Franklin 27, Lathrop 8

Arielle Cooper led Lathrop with two hits. Taylor Rios had an RBI hit and a diving catch on defense. Kalea Rogers also had a knock.

Sierra 99, West 4

Abigail Garcia (200 IM, 100 free, 200 medley relay) and Peyton Nultemeier (100 back, 200 medley relay, 200 free relay) both contributed three first-place finishes.

Brooke Maldonado (100 fly, 200 free relay), Tushika Rastogi (100 breast, 200 free), Jewells Shinn (50 free, 200 medley relay) and Aaste Bjerkholt (200 medley, 200 free relays) each had two wins.
