Sanah Sunner did it again.

The senior sharpshooter netted 30 points and eight 3s on Tuesday, lifting Lathrop to a lopsided 69-51 road win over Beyer in Western Athletic Conference play.

Sunner also had 30 points and eight 3s in a non-league victory against Sonora on Dec. 13.

“She has had two phenomenal shooting games,” Lathrop coach Dwayne Davis said. “(Beyer) dropped into a zone (defense) and she caught fire and didn’t let up. I didn’t even realize what she had at halftime.”

Sunner buried all eight of her 3s in the first two quarters and had 27 points at halftime.

With Sunner doing damage from the perimeter, the Spartans (4-0 WAC, 12-6 overall) were also able to get easy buckets in transition off turnovers. They rolled out to a 26-14 lead in the first quarter and were well ahead going into the fourth, 62-35.

Alaba Olaleye contributed 18 points, and Marianna Delgado had 10. Kylie Kulina paced Beyer (1-2, 3-12) with 27 points.

Lathrop next hosts Johansen on Thursday.

Nylah Dyson fired 28 points and four 3s, while Taylor Snaer pumped in 21 points for the Lancers (2-0, 14-4 overall). The Valley Oak League contest was originally scheduled to take place at East Union, but a leaky roof at Dalben Center forced a change in venue.

The Lancers managed to net 17 points in every quarter. Holding host Central Catholic (0-2, 4-14) to just four points in the second quarter helped them stake a 34-13 halftime lead. Ava Barrera chipped in with eight points.

Peyton Garrett scored 20 points for the Raiders. East Union hosts Manteca on Thursday.

Escalon 48, Ripon 36

The visiting Indians (1-2, 7-9) were competitive for a half in the Trans-Valley League tilt, but Escalon (2-1, 11-5) outscored them 20-6 in the third quarter for a 45-25 lead.

Gabby Delgado tallied eight points and six rebounds for Ripon. Grace Mikami also netted eight points, while Makenzie Loechler secure nine rebounds.

Macie Vickers led Escalon with 21 points.
