Sierra’s boys and girls swimming teams didn’t have much struggle picking up a pair of victories Tuesday afternoon over Valley Oak League opponents Weston Ranch and Lathrop.The Timberwolves’ girls’ team defeated Lathrop 135.5-22.5 and then dropped the Cougars 111-49. Sierra’s boys’ squad cruised past the Spartans 107-51, and then knocked off Weston Ranch 117-46.Sierra’s John Buonauro, Scott Tolman, Neil Sandberg and Gabriel Ortega won the 200 medley relay (1:57.54) and the 200 free relay (1:43.12).That foursome also won the 400 free relay with a 3:48.48 – a time that qualified them for the Sac-Joaquin Section frosh-soph swimming trials later in the postseason.Sammy Kizlin won the 100 breaststroke and the 100 butterfly, while Jacob Hampton captured the 100 backstroke victory. Tolman took first in the 500 free and Sandberg won the 100 free.
