TWolves cruise in win over Central Valley

CERES – Bret Wilson led a balanced Sierra High scoring attack in its Valley Oak League win over the Central Valley Hawks Wednesday.

Sierra (12-3 VOL) emptied its bench, getting quality minutes and at least a point from every player on the roster. Wilson led all scorers with 12, while teammates Joseph Berry and Johnny Waggy chipped in with nine and seven, respectively.

“It was a great team win for us tonight,” Sierra head coach Justin Muschott said. “We wanted to finish out our home schedule on a high note and we came out and dominated in every aspect.”

Sierra will try and close out the season with a win over Weston Ranch Friday in Stockton.

East Union 62, Lathrop 50
The Lancers did all they needed to do in a VOL win over Lathrop High Wednesday.

Brandon Cline led all scorers with 17, while teammates Wayne Cheung and T.J. Williams added 15 and 10, respectively.

Ricky Chavez and Marcus Conley led Lathrop with 13 points apiece.

 

Freshman Boys

East Union 62, Lathrop 50
The Lancers added another win to their VOL total in Wednesday’s victory over The Spartans.

The Lancers had little difficulty taking care of the Spartans, cruising to an easy VOL win Wednesday.

Jesus Esquevel and Will Brink paced the Lancers with 17 apiece, while teammate Justin Nieto finished with 11.

Girls

Sonora 34, Manteca 21
Elani Freeman and Jasmine O’dell led the Buffaloes with six points apiece in a VOL loss to Sonora Tuesday.
