strong core of young talent.

The two-time reigning champion has four all-league selections, three of whom are underclassmen. Two made all-league from the Knights boys team.

Ripon Christian’s girls went 11-0-2 in league play and 19-5-3 overall, reaching the semifinal round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division VI playoffs.

Freshman forward Addison DeJong heads the Knights’ All-SAL honorees. She netted a team-high 21 goals and seven assists. Senior midfielder Annelies Vander Muelen (two goals, assist), sophomore defender Dayna Koolhaas (three assists) and sophomore goalkeeper Tara Heida (5.5 saves per game). Ripon Christian tallied seven shutouts in 13 league matches.

Lupin Amstutz of runner-up Mariposa (11-2-1, 13-4-2) was named MVP. She finished as the fifth highest scorer in the SJS with 34 goals and 18 assists for 86.

Brothers Alex and Grant Sonke are all-league selections for Ripon Christian’s boys team. (3-7-2, 6-13-2)

Denair and Delhi are co-champions with 9-0-5 league records. Delhi’s Rigoberto Ayala is MVP.
