RIPON — Ripon High’s girls volleyball team is ready for the postseason.
The Indians capped regular-season action with senior night Wednesday, crushing Modesto Christian 25-10, 25-21, 25-16. They finished 10-2 and in second place behind Hilmar in the Trans-Valley League.
Sac-Joaquin Section playoff brackets will be released Friday, and opening-round matches are scheduled for next Monday. Escalon and Livingston, which placed third and fourth, respectively, also qualify.
Mia Van Lewen, one of five seniors honored for Ripon (20-9 overall), ended the regular season strong. She led the Indians with 19 kills, 11 digs and three aces. Rachel Sausedo accumulated 39 assists, and Sydney Thomason contributed two blocks.
Modesto Christian ended its year at 1-11 in league and 2-14 overall.
