Manteca won three of four duals in a Valley Oak League cluster meet Wednesday at Oakdale High.
The Buffaloes defeated Kimball 63-18, Central Catholic 48-32 and Weston Ranch by forfeiture. They ended the night with a 48-36 loss to Oakdale.
Heavyweights Isaiah Evans Francisco Ochoa had their highlights. Against Kimball, Evans pinned his opponent in the second period to end a back-and-forth battle. In the finale against Oakdale, Ochoa notched a first-round pin for Manteca’s lone win against the Mustangs. The rest of the Buffaloes’ points were scored because of forfeitures.
Marly Goodwin outpointed her Kimball opponent in an all-girls showdown at 113 pounds. Fabian Mendoza (120) earned a pinfall victory against Central Catholic after a takedown. Tommy Perea (195) ground out a pinfall win in the match with Central.
Manteca won all of its JV matches, toppling Kimball 42-0 and Weston Ranch 72-9 while defeating the others via forfeiture.
