OAKLAND (AP) — The Alameda County Board of Supervisors has voted in favor of negotiating directly with the city of Oakland and its private development partner to build a new football stadium for the Raiders.

The Oakland Tribune reported (http://bayareane.ws/1EQZgks ) the unanimous vote Tuesday puts local leaders on the same page as they try to negotiate an agreement with New City Development LLC to redevelop the sprawling Coliseum complex. The plan includes a new football stadium for the Raiders.

The Oakland City Council voted in favor of the same agreement last week.

Team owner Mark Davis has repeatedly said he wants to keep the Raiders in Oakland, but has not committed himself to Coliseum City.

The Raiders have proposed a joint stadium in Los Angeles with the San Diego Charges if they don’t get a favorable deal from Oakland.

The team did not did not respond to requests for comment Tuesday.
