Nieto lifts Sharks past Canucks

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, (AP) —  Matt Nieto scored his second goal of the game in overtime to give the San Jose Sharks a 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canuck in an NHL exhibition game Sunday
Kevin Labanc also scored, and Martin Jones made 26 saves for the San Jose. The Sharks are 3-0-0 in exhibition play.
Anton Rodin and Tuomo Ruutu scored for Vancouver, and Ryan Miller stopped 18 shots.
WILD 4, HURRICANES 1: In  St. Paul, Eric Staal scored a tiebreaking goal in the third period to lead the Minnesota Wild to a 3-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
PENGUINS 2. BLUE JACKETS 0: In Columbus, Ohio, Tristan Jarry made 24 saves to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 2-0 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
RED WINGS 6, BLACKHAWKS 3: In Detroit, Martin Frk and Andreas Athanasiou each had a goal and an assist to lead the Detroit Red Wings to a 6-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
STARS 2, PANTHERS 1: In London, Ontario, Nick Ebert scored 2:20 into overtime to lift the Dallas Stars to a 2-1 victory over the Florida Panthers.
LEAFS 3, CANADIENS 2: In Toronto, No. 1 overall draft pick Auston Matthews had a scoreless preseason debut in the Maple Leafs’ 3-2 overtime win over the Montreal Canadiens.
KINGS 1, DUCKS 0: In Anaheim, Jonathan Quick made 31 saves to lead a Los Angeles Kings split squad to a 1-0 win over the Ducks.
JETS 4, FLAMES 0: In Calgary, Alberta, Scott Kosmachuk had a goal and two assists and Ondrej Pavelec made 31 saves as the Winnipeg Jets beat the Flames 4-0.
