VISALIA (AP) — Matt Jones hit a walk-off two-run homer with one out in the 10th inning, as the Visalia Rawhide topped the Modesto Nuts 6-4 on Tuesday.
The Nuts tied the game 4-4 in the top of the eighth when Joey Curletta hit an RBI double, driving in Jordan Cowan.
Jones homered and singled twice, scoring a couple of runs while also driving home two in the win.
Bud Jeter (3-4) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Marvin Gorgas (2-1) took the loss in the California League game.
For the Nuts, Luis Liberato singled twice, scoring two runs.
Despite the loss, Modesto is 8-3 against Visalia this season.
