SACRAMENTO (AP) — Jose Rojas hit two home runs and drove in six runs, as the Salt Lake Bees defeated the Sacramento River Cats 8-4 on Monday.
Rojas hit a grand slam in the seventh inning off Williams Jerez and then hit a solo homer in the ninth off Cory Taylor. Taylor Ward was a triple short of the cycle, scoring two runs in the win.
Mike Kaelin (1-0) got the win with two innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while Tyler Rogers (1-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.
Donovan Solano doubled and singled twice, driving in a run and also scoring one for the River Cats.
Despite the loss, Sacramento is 5-2 against Salt Lake this season.
