SAN JOSE (AP) — Cristian Paulino scored the winning run on a balk with two outs in the ninth inning, as the San Jose Giants topped the Stockton Ports 5-4 on Sunday.

The play capped an improbable comeback for the Giants, who scored three runs in the inning for the win. T.J. Bennett hit an RBI double and then scored on a single by Paulino earlier in the inning to help set the stage for the game-winning score.

Bennett hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Daniel Carbonell in the second inning to give the Giants a 1-0 lead. The Ports came back to take the lead in the fourth inning when Sandber Pimentel hit a two-run home run.

San Jose cut the deficit to 4-2 in the sixth when Ronnie Jebavy hit a solo home run.

Tyler Cyr (1-0) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Carlos Navas (2-5) took the loss in the California League game.

Joe Bennie doubled and singled twice for the Ports.

With the win, San Jose improved to 13-4 against Stockton this season.
