SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Trevor Cooney scored 21 points, Tyler Ennis added 17 points and eight assists, and No. 4 Syracuse beat Indiana 69-52 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Tuesday night.

Syracuse (8-0) has won 46 straight nonconference games at home, and there was no love lost in this rematch from last season’s East Regional semifinal won handily by the Orange.

Indiana was called for two flagrant fouls Tuesday, the second coming in the second half as the game was slipping away. Syracuse used a 25-4 surge to break open a tie game.

 Eastern Michigan 69-57

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Eastern Michigan was looking for its first win over a ranked team since it won at nearby Michigan in 1997. The Eagles were hosting a Top 25 team for the first time since Wisconsin visited — and lost — in 1994.

Coach Rob Murphy felt his team had a chance to come up with another win over a ranked team Tuesday night, but they came up short in a 69-57 loss to No. 21 Massachusetts.

“We had a chance to be 6-1 and beat a Top 25 team in our building,” said Murphy, whose team also lost at No. 3 Kentucky and has late-December games at No. 10 Duke and No. 4 Syracuse. “Sure, there’s a bigger picture, but I don’t think we capitalized on an opportunity tonight.”

Sims leads No. 9 Baylor
women to 113-73 win

WACO, Texas (AP) — Odyssey Sims scored 29 points and had 13 assists to become the Baylor career leader in that category as the Lady Bears beat San Jose State 113-73 on Tuesday night.

It was the first game in 10 days for the Lady Bears (7-0), who extended their nation’s-best home winning streak to 64 games.

rout Missouri St 91-49

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Shoni Schimmel scored 14 points, Bria Smith added 12 and No. 7 Louisville cruised to a 91-49 victory over Missouri State on Tuesday night.

Asia Taylor added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Cardinals (8-1), who played most of the game without senior guard Antonita Slaughter after she collapsed and was taken off the court on a stretcher early in the first half.

Louisville was leading 7-2 with 17:13 to play in the first half when Slaughter, who had started the game and scored the first basket, went to the bench and suddenly collapsed. Coach Jeff Walz and his staff rushed to her aid and EMS was immediately called to the bench.
