Jr. Buffaloes stampede Panthers

The Manteca Jr. Buffaloes pounded Panthers Youth Football 30-14 at West High in Tracy Saturday.

Miguel Lopez led the charge offensive with three touchdown runs, and Joey Goodman added one. Gino Campiotti was perfect on his 2-point conversion kicks.

Cruz Padilla, Kyle Rachels, Lopez, Goodman and Campiotti anchored the squad defensively.

Manteca will next take on the Linden Lions at Linden High Saturday.



Junior novice

Panthers 31, Jr. Buffs 0


The tone was set on the opening kickoff when the Panthers returned it for a touchdown. The Jr. Buffaloes were down 25-0 at halftime.

Manteca’s defense had a better showing in the second half, pitching a shutout over the final two quarters before allowing the touchdown with 31 seconds remaining.

Gino Allen rushed for 94 yards to pace the offense, while Tyler Garlets completed all four of his pass attempts to Eric Nascimento for 37 yards. Dayvion Mayes recorded eight total tackles on defense.
