Sea Lions defeat Tritons in tune-up for MVSL meet

RIPON — The Sea Lions are ready to wrap up their defense of the Mid-Valley Swim League Championships.
The Ripon swim team completed regular-season action with a perfect record this past Saturday, defeating the Tracy Tritons on combined scoring 1,974.5-1,682.5 at Ervin Zador Aquatic Center.
Up next is the MVSL Championships held at West High’s Pinkie Phillips Aquatic Center in Tracy on Saturday.
Six Sea Lions led the charge in their final dual meet of the season, claiming three first-place finishes each in individual events.
Trevor Bell (25 back, 25 breast, 25 free) and Emery Biedermann (50 free, 25 back, 25 free) were the top performers in the boys and girls 7-8-year-old division, respectively. Keira Brink (100 IM, 50 fly, 50 free) and Ben Corgiat (100 IM, 50 breast, 50 free) spearheaded Ripon from the girls and boys 9-10 division. Lauren Daigre won the 50 fly, 50 back and 50 free in girls 13-14. Andria Martin took first in the girls 17-18 100 free, 100 breast and 50 free.
Brody Biedermann (boys 9-10), Jonathan Barnes (boys 11-12), Reese Hansen (girls 13-14) and Nolan Boger (boys 13-14) contributed two victories apiece.
