STOCKTON — Spreckels Park defeated Tracy 6-1 Wednesday in the championship game of the Little League District 67 Senior All-Star Tournament hosted by Weston Ranch Little League.

For the second night in a row Tracy scored first and for the second night in a row it did not matter as Spreckels Park came from behind Wednesday to defeat Tracy 6-1 for the Little League District 67 Senior Championship at Weston Ranch Little League.

Tracy took a 1-0 lead into the third inning when things went south. Six walks, two errors, a hit batter and an RBI single by Jesse Babauta led to all six Spreckels Parks runs. Spreckels Park had just three other hits with Nick Osegura, Jaden Pina and Tyler Holmes each getting a single.

Stellar defense by the middle of the Spreckels Park infield contributed to the win. In the fourth inning shortstop Tanner Peterson ranged quickly to his left past second to snag a grounder and got back to the bag for a force out. Two batters later second baseman Osegura did a mirror image of Peterson’s play, ranging to his right and throwing to first for the out.

Jesse Ochoa went the distance for Spreckels Park, allowing just four hits.
